“We Will Never Bow Down To Any Power In The World,” PM Narendra Modi To Soldiers Injured At Galwan Clash

Mumbai: PM Narendra Modi met Indian soldiers who were injured in a clash with Chinese army on June 15 at Galwan valley. In an interaction with the PM Modi said that “Our country has never bowed down and will never bow down to any world power, and I am able to say this because of braves like you.”

In reference to China, the Prime Minister said, “We will never bow down to any power in the world.”

His remarks came during a conversation with wounded soldiers at a hospital in Leh.

“I have come to thank each and every one of you. India has become self-reliant. Our country has never bowed down nor will it bow to any world power. I pay my respects to you as well as the mothers who gave birth to braves like you. Hope everyone gets well soon,” he said.

Praising the soldiers, he said, “The brave ones who left us did not leave without any reason, all of you gave a befitting reply. Your bravery, the blood you shed will inspire our youth and countrymen for generations.”

“You all responded. You are in a hospital, so you would not know that 130 crore citizens are proud of you. A message has been sent to the world about the bravery shown by your brave people. The way you stood up Powers. Does the world want to know who are these brave? What is their training? What is their sacrifice? The world is analyzing your bravery. The blood you shed is the inspiration for our country. ”

The situation on the Indo-China border remains tense, after which 20 Indian soldiers lost a violent face in the Galvan Valley on 15–16 June, when Chinese troops attempted to unilaterally change positions during de-escalation. India and China have been involved in talks to ease border tension since last month.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister made a surprise visit to Ladakh and was briefed by senior officials in Nimu amidst ongoing tensions with China. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane.
