Mumbai: With the pull of power over the post of CM entering its second week in Maharashtra and the Shiv Sena exploring options for forming alliances with other parties, BJP sources on Monday told news agency ANI that the party’s door is still under discussion Is open to Younger brother Shiv Sena.
However, the BJP said that agreement for the post of CM will not be done at any cost.
“We are waiting and watching. Our doors are open for discussion with Shiv Sena. There will be no agreement regarding the post of CM. We are open to the distribution of ministerial portfolios, ”BJP sources said quoting ANI.
This comes as Shiv Sena, which includes its leaders Ramdas Kadam and Sanjay Raut, met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in Mumbai this evening.
Fadnavis earlier met Home Minister Amit Shah to talk about the ongoing power mess in the state and sought assistance from the central government for farmers affected by the unseasonal rains in Maharashtra.
“I went to the home minister to request assistance. I have presented him the preliminary estimate and he has spoken to the concerned authorities, ”said Fadnavis.
