Mumbai: India is all set to take on Australia for three-match ODI series starting from tomorrow. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that dew plays an important role in each and every match and team India is ready to face the challenge.

“Dew, at Wankhede Stadium, has always been a big factor, especially in 50-over games because in the afternoon, you have nothing and the pitch can play differently but under the lights with dew, it’s the bowlers. Can be very challenging for,” he said.

“Any kind of one-day cricket now in the year of the T20 World Cup and Test Championship, this is an opportunity for teams to put themselves in an uncomfortable position with the ball in situations where there is dew. As in the T20 series. Well (against Sri Lanka), we wanted to put ourselves in situations we want to improve, ”Kohli said.

Ahead of the one-day series against Australia, India captain Virat Kohli said that Men in Blue have the skills to compete against any team in the world in any format of the game.

“We played the day and night test here (in India), we are very happy with how it happened and it has become a very exciting feature of any Test series. Therefore, we are definitely open to playing day and night tests. We are ready and up for the challenge. Whether it is Perth or Gabba, it doesn’t matter to us,” he said.

He said, “We have the skills set as a team to compete against anyone in the world, anywhere and in any format of the game, whether it is a white ball, red ball or pink ball, we are certain Ready to play too. ”
