Mumbai: Addressing the West Bengal Virtual Rally, BJP leader Amit Shah claimed that while the entire nation has consolidated democracy, West Bengal remains the only state where political violence is propagated.
Paying tribute to people who have succumbed to Covid-19 and cyclone Amphan in the state he said, “I pay my heartfelt tributes to people who have died in the Covid-19 pandemic and Amphan Cyclone in West Bengal. Also, more than 100 BJP workers have lost their lives in creating an environment of change in West Bengal from 2014. My heartfelt condolences to their families.”
Shah further slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee upon referring to Shramik trains as ‘Corona Trains’ and accused her of playing politics on the rights of the poor.
Notably, Shah addressed Bihar and Odisha virtual rally on Sunday and Monday respectively
