We’ve Launched Aggressive Operation Against Militants: Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar

Mumbai: The Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar informed that on Monday evening the security forces in Kashmir have launched an aggressive search operation against the terrorist who killed 7 civilians in the region.

“In recent days, 7 civilians were killed by terrorists. We’ve launched an aggressive operation against the militants following which one each was killed in Srinagar & Anantnag. “Yesterday we launched an operation at two places in Shopian in which 3 were killed & 2 terrorists are trapped in Feeripora area of Shopian. We will continue the operation,” Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar to ANI

One of the three terrorists who was killed in an encounter was responsible for killing a street hawker in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The fire between militants and security forces took place after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information.

Virinder Paswan, a golgappa seller from Bihar was killed by terrorists on 5 October besides noted Kashmiri Chemist ML Bindroo and Mohamamd Shafi, a civilian from Bandipore.

On 7 October, terrorists killed Supinder Kaur, Principal, and Deepak Chand, teacher, at a government school in Srinagar.
