What Do He Think Of Himself, God?: Mamata Banerjee Attacks BJP Chief Amit Shah

Mumbai: After the clashes took place in West Bengal yesterday during BJP president Amit Shah, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee said if he were a god that no one can protest against him.

A college was demolished in the name of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, the chief person of Bengal Renaissance, and a group of 19th-century social reformer allegedly ransomed the BJP workers during a clash.

What does Amit Shah think of himself? Is he above all? Is he God that no one can oppose him?”

“They are so uncultured that they have broken the bust of Vidyasagar. They are all outsiders. They BJP had brought them to be used on the day of polls,” she said.

There was a scramble even when a group of people shouted slogans against Shah outside the Calcutta University campus and showed him black flags during roadshows. Banerjee also visited the university campus.

“Did he (Shah) know the legacy of the University of Calcutta? Do they know about famous celebrities who had studied here? They should be embarrassed by this attack,” she told reporters here.

Criticizing Election commission department West Bengal CM said, “while coming through Bidhan Sarani (a north Kolkata road), I saw such huge cutouts (of Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi). They are spending so much money. Why is the EC not taking action against them?” Banerjee said.
