Whoever Tried To Spoil Punjab’s Atmosphere Won’t Be Spared: CM On Mohali blast

Mumbai: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took to Twitter to say that police are probing the blast that took place at the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in Mohali on Monday. Mann has also called for a meeting at his residence on Tuesday with DGP and other senior officers to seek a report on the course of action so far, in the matter, it is learnt. Also Read: Punjab On High Alert After Blast At Police Intelligence Office In Mohali

Mann tweeted that those trying to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab will not be spared. He further said that the police is probing the Mohali blast.

“Mohali blast is a cowardly act of those who want to disturb the peace of Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab government will not allow those people’s wishes to be fulfilled. Peace will be maintained under all circumstances with the cooperation of all the people of Punjab and the culprits will be punished severely (sic),” Kejriwal said in a tweet in Hindi.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters, where a team of Punjab Police and Punjab Police commandos have been deployed.

A minor explosion took place at the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali on Monday night. Though no casualties or casualties were reported, police said the attack was carried out with a rocket-propelled grenade from outside the building. However, the police are probing the matter from a terrorist angle.

“It is a minor blast. The attack happened from outside the building. It has been done with rocket-type fire. No casualty or loss happened. Our senior officers and FSL team are investigating it,” Mohali SP (HQ) Ravinder Pal Singh told reporters.
