Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that economic activity would be further enhanced in the second phase of unlocking taking into account all activities and urged people to be “vocal for the local”.
In his address to the nation, the Prime Minister also urged the people to work hard to achieve the goal of self-reliant India.
“We will further increase economic activity by taking all precautions. We will work day and night for a self-reliant India. We will be vocal for all the local people. With this resolution, we 130 crore countrymen will have to work together with the resolution and Gotta moves forward,” he said.
Modi appealed to the citizens not to be negligent towards the coronavirus and followed the mantra of ‘Kya Gaj Doi’ and used face masks.
“I urge you too, all of you to be healthy. Keep following the mantra of ‘ do gaz ki doori’ and always use gamcha, face cover and mask. Do not be careless,” he said.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday released new guidelines for Unlock 2 which will come into effect from 1 July. The new norms have extended the process of phased re-opening of activities, including the calibrated expansion of domestic flights and passenger trains.
