Will Provide 300 Units Of Free Electricity Per Month In UP If We Win Assembly Polls: AAP
Manish Sisodia urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to vote for the AAP in the 2022 assembly elections
Mumbai: Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, AAP has announced that if it wins the polls, it’d provide 300 units of free electricity per month to all domestic consumers of the state within 24 hours of forming the government.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said “Within 24 hours of forming the government in the state, the AAP would provide 300 units of free electricity to all the domestic consumers of the state.”
He further announced that the farmers won’t have to pay anything for their power consumption.
“Not only will we provide subsidized electricity and waive off the pending bills, but we will ensure Uttar Pradesh of the 21st Century gets round-the-clock power connection,” he added.
He has urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to vote for AAP in the upcoming assembly elections.
AAP leaders drew a comparison in the cost of electricity in Delhi and UP in a tweet with #Kejriwalkibijliguarantee. The tweet said, “If the electricity bill in Delhi can be 0, why can’t it be in UP?”
Manish Sisodia’s announcement comes a day after the AAP released a list of 100 probable candidates for the assembly polls in the state. The party is going to fight solo on all the 403 seats in the state.
The party’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Singh said the AAP has given representation to all communities on the list, including doctors, engineers, advocates, postgraduates, farmers, and youth icons. The party has attacked the Yogi-led UP government and accused them of corruption.
AAP will provide quality education to students, ensuring the safety of girls and women and also promising an adequate return to farmers for their produce.
