With 36 New COVID19 Cases, Dharavi Tally Reaches 1,675

Mumbai: Thirty-six more people tested the coronavirus virus in the Dharavi area of ​​Mumbai on Thursday.

“With 36 new COVID-19 cases, the total number of positive cases in Dharavi has increased to 1,675,” an official statement issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

It also states that 61 people from the region are still suffering from the disease.

According to the latest update from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 56,948 people have been screened in Maharashtra so far, including 17,918 recovered/discharged  and 1,897 deaths.

The ministry further stated that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country is 1,58,333, including 86,110 active cases, 67,692 recovered / displaced, and 4,531 deaths.
