With One New COVID19 Case, Nagaland Tally Reaches To 128

Mumbai: Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said one person tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 128.

Officials said four patients during the day were also recovered, which went to the number of active cases 114.

One of the 273 samples tested in the last 24 hours was found positive, Foam said, adding that the new patient was recorded at Kohima Quarantine Center.

State Nodal Officer of Integrated Disease Surveillance Program Nayan Kikon said that four under-recovery patients have been recovered at COVID-19 Hospital in Dimapur district.

He said that all those cases have been sent back from the state to other parts of the country.

Dimapur has recorded the highest number of 100 cases, and 12 of them have been recovered. 22 cases have been reported in Kohima and two people have been recovered, five cases have been found in Tuensang and one case in Peren district.

India, currently the sixth most affected country of the world is reporting a few less than 10 thousand COVID-19 cases on a daily basis. The past 24 hours saw a spike of 9,985 cases and 279 deaths.

The escalating figures have spurred the country’s toll to 2,76,583 including 1,33,632 active cases and 1,35,206 recoveries. The death toll has surged to 7,745.
