Woman Drugged, Raped In Mumbai’s 5 Star Hotel By Man She Met On Dating App

Mumbai: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man who allegedly adulterated with liquor at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Worli police, which has registered a case under relevant sections for rape and giving poison, is yet to make any arrests in the case.

In her complaint, she said the incident occurred when they went to the hotel to celebrate her birthday. The woman told the police that they met through a dating app last month and used to chat frequently. Her birthday was in the second week of July, but since the two were busy, they decided to celebrate on Monday. Police said that the two met a few months ago on a dating app.

Inside the hotel, the accused initially ordered a chocolate cake but called for another taste after the woman did not like the chocolates. Later, the couple drank together, but the woman suspected that he had sharp teeth as the latter fell asleep, he alleged in his statement.

In her statement to the police, the woman said that when she started falling asleep, the accused took off her clothes and raped her, but she was unable to resist as she was sleeping too. She also said that, for almost a half-hour, there was someone knocking at the door and she had insisted Agarwal open it but he didn’t. When he finally opened the door, another woman entered and confronted her and said that he was her boyfriend

This led to an argument, after which the 30-year-old booked a cab and went to Versova, where she lives. He told his roommate about the incident, who suggested contacting the police.

Accordingly, the woman called 100. Versova police recorded her statement and filed a void First Information Report (FIR) under sections 376 (rape) and 328 (poisoning) and transferred it to Worli police station as the incident took place later. jurisdiction.

Senior Inspector Anil Koli of Worli police station confirmed the registration of the offence and said an investigation was underway.
