Woman In Pune Sets Herself In Ablaze After Argument With Husband, Domestic Violence Suspected

Mumbai: In a shocking incident a woman from Pune set herself in the fire. The woman made to take this step due to repeated domestic violence took against her.

The incident took place in Pimpri Chinchwad. The victim and her husband, both suffered burns in the incident.

The victim was pursuing the last year of her medical studies, she took this step after having an argument with her husband.

The deceased had bought kerosene oil on the day of the incident. After the deceased ingested the powder, she called her husband.

Hindustan Times quoted police officer Bhimrao Shinde saying, “the husband reportedly returned home and fought with the deceased. During the fight, the deceased allegedly put kerosene oil on it and set herself on fire.”

The victim was immediately taken to Surya Hospital in Pune but she couldn’t survive as her body was burned totally, meanwhile police has taken the statement of the victim before she died.

The victim as a child, whereas her husband suffered 20 percent burns, meanwhile Chatan Govind (husband), his mother, Rajani Govind Chaudhary and his father, Govind Chaudhary. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
