Wrong To Assume Entire B’wood Is Bad: Maha Minister Amid Drug Probe

Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is currently investigating Bollywood’s alleged drug nexus following the death of actor Sushant Rajput. In the midst of the ongoing drug probe, Honorable Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh came out in support of Bollywood.

Anil Deshmukh said that it is not right to believe that the entire Hindi film industry is only ‘bad’ because ‘some people are involved in drugs’. He also continued to share that the government would also take action against the culprits.

Speaking to ANI, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said, “It is wrong to assume that the whole of Bollywood is bad just because some people indulge in drugs. Action should be taken against those involved. “Deshmukh further reiterated that obsession and consumption of drugs are against the law, and the action should be taken against the culprits.

Anil Deshmukh said, “If anyone is getting the drug in possession or someone is consuming it, then it is against the law. Action should be taken against them. But if someone is maligning Bollywood and working towards shifting it elsewhere from Mumbai then it’s wrong. Won’t let it happen.”

Meanwhile, The Narcotics Control Bureau had carried out searches at Arjun Rampal’s residence on Monday and seized some electronic gadgets. The agency has already questioned the 47-year-old actor’s driver.

Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades has also been summoned by the NCB to appear before it on November 11, reported news agency ANI.
