Mumbai: Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen in a special message in Hindi on Friday urged Indian citizens to follow government advice on social differences to prevent the coronavirus pandemic.
“Namaste india hum sab corona virus ko harane mein ek saath hai , hum sab apne apne sarkar ki baat ka nirdes kare aur ghar me kuch Dino ke liye rahe , yeh samay hai hosiyaar rahene ka .App sabhi ko der sara pyaar,” Pietersen tweeted in Hindi.

The right-handed batsman credited Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Srivats Goswami for teaching him Hindi. Coronavirus outbreaks have had a huge impact on sports around the world and cricket has also suffered from the deadly virus.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India now stands at 223 with four deaths.
23 people have been cured due to infection in India. The disease has killed more than 10,000 people globally.
