Yuzvendra Chahal And Kuldeep Yadav Are Pillar Of Indian Bowling Attack: Virat Kohli

Mumbai: Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the “pillar” of the bowling attack of India, Virat Kohli said here

Meantime, Virat also said that he is not overly worried about Kuldeep Yadav’s lack of form during the IPL.

During IPL 2019 Yadav was drooped from the Kolkata Knight Riders team because of poor form but Kohli felt it was a good reality check for the 24-year-old.

“If you look at it, then a person like Kuldeep who has been so successful, it is important to see a period where things do not go on your way. We are happy that it happened in the IPL rather than the world cup,” Kohli Said, firmly supporting the spinner.

Kohli said, “They had time to reflect on things and to get into the World Cup, we know what kind of skill Yajwendra Chahal has. They are two pillars of our bowling line.” Pre-departure press conference here
Chahal has taken 72 wickets at an average of 24.61 in 41 one-dayers, while Yadav has taken 87 wickets from 44 matches at an average of 87.74.

Kohli also did not get worried about all-rounder Kedar Jadhav, who missed the second half of the IPL after an injury on his shoulder.

Kedar also said we understand what kind of pitches they got to play at home. We are not concerned about them. He was in good standing. Yes, they did not get the runs but Twenty20 is a format in which you do not get runs. And it can run like this for some games.
