On an average day, they cold-call customers to promote the company offerings. The goal is to increase the base of loyal customers. This role needs strong negotiation skills to succeed. Sales Managers earn an average of INR 6-9 LPA.

Management Consultant: Management Consultants are experts in one aspect of management. Companies hire them to solve specific management problems. In addition to analyzing the problem, the consultant will offer suggestions and help in enhancing the company’s performance and efficiency. It is a demanding position with high expectations. In India, Management Consultants earn an average amount of INR 15 – 20 LPA.

Finance Manager: A Finance Manager looks after the finances of the company. They do more than just handle payrolls and other administrative tasks. They take care of the company’s investments and suggest new opportunities for investment. The Finance Manager is responsible for budgeting and preparing financial reports for the organization. This role needs strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance. Indian Finance Managers earn an average of INR 8 – 10 LPA.

Human Resource Managers: They are in charge of the Human Resources department. They manage hiring, interviews, payroll, leaves, promotions, etc. The HR Manager prepares, updates, and enforces the company’s policies on employee conduct. Additionally, they organize team-building events from time to time. This role earns an average salary of INR 5 – 8 LPA.

Social Media Manager: This is a newer Manager role that has grown in popularity in recent times. The Social Media Manager is responsible for all of the organization’s social media accounts. Profiles can be found on professional networks like LinkedIn and on other social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. Another major responsibility is customer interaction. This role earns an average salary of INR 3 – 6 LPA.

Educational Qualification Required

Education and other qualifications required to work as a manager are highly dependent on the hiring organization and the scope of the job. In general, individuals with a master’s degree in Management such as MBA are preferred. On top of the general MBA degree, choosing different concentrations will help in niching down in a particular Manager job. For instance, to work as a Finance Manager, a degree in MBA in Finance would be appropriate. Certain organizations also sponsor candidates to earn a management degree. While some others have management training programs in-house to train new recruits.

Scope of Management Course

In India, there is a large scope for Management. Since practically all organizations need Managers in different departments, jobs are always open every year for the new graduating class.
