West Bengal Polls 2021: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Announces List Of 148 Candidates

Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced another list of 148 candidates for the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth phases of the assembly elections in West Bengal.

BJP vice-president Mukul Roy will contest from Krishnanagar North, while senior BJP leader Rahul Sinha has been fielded from Adra constituency, the BJP said.

The party has already released the names of 112 candidates for the first four phases of the West Bengal assembly elections.

Four MPs including Babul Supriyo, Locket Chatterjee, Swapan Dasgupta and Nisith Pramanik will be fighting the polls.

The polls are slated to take place in eight phases starting March 27. The last round of polls will take place on April 29 and the counting of votes will be done on May 2.
