Can’t Ask For Better Present: Abhishek Announces New Film ‘Ghoomer’ On B’day
Mumbai: Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram handle on Saturday to share that he’s collaborating with filmmaker R Balki for a film titled, ‘Ghoomer’. The actor announced the film on the occasion of his 46th birthday.
The birthday boy on social media announced his collaboration with R Balki for Ghoomar and revealed that he has started shooting for ‘Ghoomer’today.
Abhishek took to Instagram to share a picture of a clapboard placed in front of Lord Ganesha’s picture to seek blessings. The name of the film ‘Ghoomer’was written on the clapboard and it was being said that R Balki is directing it. It also indicated that the team has just started shooting for the film.
In the caption, Abhishek shared his excitement about the project and called it a perfect birthday gift. He wrote, “Can’t ask for a better birthday present! Birthdays are best spent, working. घूमर Now spinning!”

To garner attention, ‘Ghoomer’marked Abhishek’s second collaboration with R Balki after the 2009 release Pa, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will also be seen in debutant director Tushar Jalota’s Dasvi. The film is being bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan and will also feature Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles.
