Knew It Would Do Well: Kartik On Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s Success

Mumbai: Actor Kartik Aaryan is flying high on the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror-comedy is now likely to cross the 150 crore mark at the box office with a total collection of 122.69 crores.

Talking about the success of the film, Kartik shared that it has been the most surreal feeling for him.

Hindustan Times quoted Karthik saying, “During such times, collecting 100 crores within the first 9 days of release is the most surreal feeling as an actor. I knew the film would do well, but couldn’t have imagined it like this. I owe the success to the team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, who worked on it so passionately for 3 years. Secondly, the makers who have expressed their vision about this entertainer so brilliantly and most importantly, who are presenting it with so much love – the audience, who accepted us wholeheartedly.”

Talking about celebrating the success of the film, Kartik said that he had a blast with fans at Mumbai’s Gaiety Cinema.

“My biggest celebration for the film happened on the first weekend of its release. I went to Gaiety Cinema and met the fans. I saw Housefull Board at Gaiety and it was very satisfying. The love I got from the audience was so unreal. It felt satisfying when I celebrated with him. I danced with him and asked him about the film and me,” he added.

Kartik believes that he is a ‘fan-made star’. He said that any celebration is incomplete without his fans.

Kartik will next be seen in Shehzada opposite Kriti Sanon. Also in the pipeline are Hansal Mehta’s Captain India, Freddy’s and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled projects.
