Mahesh Manjrekar Diagnosed With Urinary Bladder Cancer, Undergoes Surgery

Mumbai: Actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer a few days back and underwent surgery. The procedure was carried out at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, where Manjrekar was admitted for few days, ETimes reported.

On the work front, Manjrekar is all set to direct the Hindi remake of the popular Marathi film, ‘Mulshi Pattern’. The Hindi remake titled ‘Antiem: The Final Truth’ will feature Salman Khan and his brother-in-law, actor Aayush Sharma in the lead roles.

Manjrekar had also confirmed a theatrical release for the film and shared that production will take place whenever the situation improves during the ongoing pandemic.

Manjrekar is known for his roles in Hindi films such as ‘Kaante’, ‘Zinda’, ‘Wanted’, Dabangg’ and many others.

He also played a pivotal role in Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdig Millionaire’.
