‘The Kashmir Files’, Crosses Rs 150 Crore Mark At Box Office

Mumbai: The Kashmir Files Box Office Day 10: It was another blockbuster day for TKF as the film collected 26.20 crores. It was the 10th day of filming and theatres were running beyond capacity.

The film, featuring Anupam Kher in the lead, registered a strong second weekend, crossing the Rs 150 crore mark.

Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the movie’s box office collection on his Twitter handle.

The film, which earned a record-breaker at the box office, collected Rs 3.55 crore on the first day. It first saw an increase in numbers on Saturday, earning Rs 8.50 crore. The film recorded even higher figures on its first Sunday and Monday, earning Rs 15.10 crore and Rs 15.05 crore respectively.

On its first Tuesday, the film collected Rs 18 crore, taking its total to Rs 60.20 crore. The double-digit figure on a working day broke the post-pandemic record set by previous Bollywood films.

‘The Kashmir Files’ earned Rs 19.05 crore on Wednesday, Rs 18.05 crore on Thursday, Rs 19.15 crore on the second Friday and Rs 24.80 crore on the second Saturday. The film earned Rs 26.20 crore on Sunday, taking its total to Rs 167.45 crore.

The hard-hitting drama, which revolves around the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, stars Anupam, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni and others. The film has been declared tax-free in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
