UP CM Yogi Makes ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ Tax-Free After Watching It With Cabinet

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced that actor Akshay Kumar-starrer Samrat Prithviraj’ would be tax-free in the state.

He watched the movie with his cabinet colleagues at a special screening at the Raj Bhawan.

The screening of the film took place at Lok Bhavan here, in which Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, female lead Manushi Chhillar and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi were present.

“I announce that the movie will be tax-free in the state,” the chief minister said.

Adityanath, who visited Kanpur countryside on Friday to take stock of the preparations for the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arrived late for the screening.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh, J P S Rathore, A K Sharma, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and others were also present at the screening.
