Mumbai: During her appearance on The Ranveer Show, Ananya Panday recalled facing casual sexism in her initial days in the industry.
She made her debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2, which also starred Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff. The film did not do anything special at the box office, but the fans liked every character of Ananya.

Well, being in showbiz is not an easy thing. In a recent interview, Ananya revealed that she also faced casual sexism in her early days.
During her appearance on The Ranveer Show, Ananya shared, “I was never promised anything or talked about for any occasion. I always wanted to be an actor but I never knew that. How will I be? I never thought it would be easy.”
She revealed, “As soon as I started working out, people started saying ‘You should fix this and fix it, like do a boob job or change something about your face. And, it is said very casually and not in direct words that you sometimes even don’t pick it up. They would say, ‘just fill up a little more. Put on some weight.’
Hurt by people’s suggestions, Ananya thought, “Is that what people really care about? Is that what I am reduced to? Is there nothing about me paramount to my waist size or chest size? The worst thing you can do to someone is judge them for their body.”
Ananya was last seen in Gehraiyaan with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will star next in Liger with Vijay Deverakonda.
