PM Modi also announced that the injured would be given ₹50,000 from the PMNRF and Sinha announced an additional ₹2 lakh for the injured.

According to the statement of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, a stampede broke out near Gate No. 3 in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan at around 2:15 pm, in which a total of 12 pilgrims lost their lives and 15 pilgrims were injured. So far. Four have been discharged.
