Tamil Nadu Govt Allows 100 pc Occupancy In Theaters
Mumbai: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday allowed the seating capacity of cinema, cinema, multiplex to be increased from the current 50 per cent to 100 per cent following the COVID-19 protocol.
The permission was given by the state government through a notification.
Several film stars like actor Vijay requested the state government to allow 100 per cent capacity before Pongal.

The state government had allowed theatres and multiplexes to reopen from November 10 with a 50 per cent seating capacity.
Now, the government has allowed the seating capacity of theatres, cinemas and multiplexes to be increased from the current 50 per cent to 100 per cent, following the standard operating procedure already issued.
As per the notification issued by the state government, precautionary measures for COVID-19 will also be examined during showtime to create awareness among the viewers.
