Anushka Sharma Lambasted On Farokh Engineer Allegations Says, “I Drink Coffee”
Mumbai: Anushka Sharma lambasted on the reports which claimed that she has been given the ‘preferential treatment’ by the Indian cricket team management during tours and matches.
In a tweet, she said that she has always followed the protocol and has bought her own tickets whenever she went to see a match.

Anushka went on saying that, “My name has been used in fabricated stories claiming that I am part of closed-door team meetings and influenced selection process and I have kept silent.”
While calling such news ‘horrible’ and ‘malicious,’ she writes that she is an independent woman who also happens to be someone’s wife.
She concluded saying that “I sat in the family box and not selectors’ box as reported but when has…truth mattered when it’s about convenience!” “For the record, I drink coffee,” she added.
“I refuse to allow anyone from using my name in such conversations,” she stated.
This comes after former India cricketer Farokh Engineer said that all the selectors were doing was getting Anushka Sharma (Kohli’s wife) cups of tea.
