Big B Tweets In Favor Of Mumbai Metro, Finds Himself In Trouble

Mumbai: Two days after actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted in favour of the construction of the Mumbai Metro, the actor found himself in trouble of green activists who descended outside his Juhu residence ‘Jalsa’.

The metro project requires the harvesting of more than 2600 trees in the Aurei forest and can have a serious impact on the pollution situation in the city.

“Friend of mine had a medical emergency, decided to take METRO instead of his car…came back very impressed..said was faster, convenient and most efficient…Solution for Pollution. Grow more trees…I did in my garden.. have you,” he wrote.

However, the activists begged to differ with Senior Bachchan and led a protest outside his house with placards saying, ‘Gardens don’t make forests’.
