Can’t Make India COVID-Free Unless Everybody Is Vaccinated: AIIMS Doctor

Mumbai: Dr Naveet Wig, HOD, Medical Department, AIIMS said that India won’t be COVID-19 free until and unless everyone is vaccinated.

“This is a significant achievement and I think more vaccinations will be done in the times to come. The country needs vaccinations,” he said.

Asking people not to reduce their safety, Dr Vig urged everyone to wear masks and get vaccinated to defeat COVID-19.

He further said that vaccine research has to continue so that we can come up with better and better solutions.

“Our aim is to make this country COVID-free. We’ll be able to do it by wearing masks and giving vaccines to everybody,” he added.

India crossed 1 crore vaccine doses on Friday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauding the record vaccination.
