Domestic LPG Cylinder Price Hiked By ₹50 For 1st Time Since October

Mumbai: The price of domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 50. This is the first increase in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities after 6 October 2021.

As per the announcement made by the OMCs, the rate of 14.2 kg cylinder now costs ₹949.50 in Delhi and Mumbai as against ₹899.50 earlier, while in Kolkata, it costs ₹976.

In Chennai In Chennai, the cooking gas will cost Rs 965.50 and in Lucknow, it will set you back by Rs 987.50.

The cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder is now Rs 2003.50. LPG cylinder rates are revised monthly for all states and union territories in India.

While LPG rates were last revised on October 6, in states like Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, petrol and diesel prices were stable from November 4, ahead of the assembly elections.

Prices have been on a freeze since then despite the cost of raw material spiralling. International oil prices were around USD 81-82 a barrel in early November as against USD 114 now.

According to a report by PTI, Sources said a 5 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 349 while the 10 kg composite bottle will come for Rs 669.
