Entire Police Staff At Rohtak Check Post Suspended For Not Filing FIR

Mumbai: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Friday ordered the suspension of the entire police staff at Rohtak’s Sukhpura check post for negligence after an advocate accused the police personnel of not registering an FIR.

While leading a complaints redressal board of trustees meeting here, Vij requested the suspension of the whole staff of Sukhpura check post after a nearby promoter blamed them for not enrolling an FIR and recording an instance of abetment to self-destruction against him. The attorney blamed the police staff for getting out of hand and mishandling him affected by liquor.

The advocate, Umesh Kumar said a young had manhandled him and gone after him with a blade on May 12.

“When I reached the Sukhpura police check post, the staff was under the influence of alcohol and they did not lodge my complaint. The next day, I raised the issue in the grievances committee and since then the police staff threatened to implicate me in a fake SC/ST case. On May 25, one person belonging to the accused side consumed some poisonous substance and the cops booked me in that case. The cops called me to the police station and kept me there naked. They even did not inform my family about my arrest,” the advocate added.

Vij had suspended the whole staff for their carelessness. In any case, the opposite side alongside the police additionally showed up before the clergyman. The police staff named every one of the charges against them bogus and ridiculous. The pastor requested a test by senior authorities into the episode. Vij said reality will win after a legitimate examination.
