Former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa’s Granddaughter Dies By Suicide

Mumbai: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter Soundarya died by suicide at an apartment in Bengaluru. Postmortem is going on at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, a statement from his office said.

As per the office of the BJP leader, Soundarya was found hanging by the house help at her private apartment at Vasantanagar in Karnataka’s capital city.

Soundarya was taken to Mallige Hospital but doctors there declared her brought dead. After this, the body was taken to Boring and Lady Curzon Hospital where a post-mortem was conducted.

“We have done the postmortem, we will submit the report,” said Dr Satish, HOD, forensic department at Boring and Lady Curzon Hospital.

Soundarya (30) was the daughter of Yediyurappa’s daughter Padmavati.

Reports said that the house helped inform Soundarya’s husband Dr Neeraj around 10 am that no one is answering the call bell and opening the door. The husband also did not reach Soundarya on the phone and then ran towards the house and opened the door with a spare key.

Soundarya was found hanging from the fan. The police have not found any death note yet and prima facie is treating it as a case of suicide.

Soundarya was a doctor by profession. Her husband is also a doctor and both have a nine-month-old child. Both got married in 2019.
