Haryana Cancels Class 12 Board Exams Amid COVID-19

Mumbai: Haryana Government has announced that the HBSE 12th Board Exams 2021 have been cancelled. Right after CBSE’s announcement to cancel the exams, the Haryana government also notified that the BSEH or HSEH 12 Board Exam 2021 will stand cancelled due to the prevailing Covid19 situation in India.

After its earlier decision to follow the Centre’s decision, Pal said, “We have also decided to cancel the Class 12 board exams in the state which were to be conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education.”

The minister confirmed that the state board will take all the necessary steps and share the modalities soon regarding the marking scheme and result. However, the decision to cancel the CBSE class 12 board examination was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After the meeting, PM Modi on his official Twitter handle wrote, “Government of India has decided to cancel the Class 12 CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the anxiety amongst students, parents, and teachers regarding the class 12 board examination must be put to an end.

Meanwhile, he added, Students must not be coerced to appear for the examination amidst the covid-19 pandemic.
