Haven’t Been Approached For Mithali Raj Biopic: Taapsee Pannu

Mumbai: If rumours are to be believed, Taapsee Pannu is very much like to portray former skipper of Indian women’s cricket team, Mithali Raj, on the big screen but till now there has been no offer from the makers.

There was speculation that “Game Over” star has agreed to participate in a film, but in a program on Friday, they shot all the rumours.

“If I find this, it will be wonderful to play cricket. All of you please recommend my name, I think that I have to play this role. I really wanted to sign for that film,” said Taapsee

Meanwhile, she also said that how excited she is about her upcoming film “Saand Ki Aankh”, the teaser of which was recently released.

This movie is based on the real-life story of Sharpshooter Chandra Tomar and his sister-in-law Sharad Tomar. In the film directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Land Peddaneer co-star.

“This is one of the challenging roles of my career. I feel that deciding to act was not challenging than playing this role, but I have no regrets about it,” she said.

On being asked about Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel had slammed her she said she believes in concentrating on her work.

When you are getting trolled, it means you matter. If you are not getting trolled, it means nobody wants to spend time and energy on you and you don’t matter to anyone.”

“I don’t believe in spending my time on issues. I feel our life is too short and there is a lot of work to do in that span. There is a lot of important work in my life, so I would like to concentrate on that aspect,” she added.

She believes that sometimes it is a bonus if an actor has industry backing because it inspires them to perform better.

“You feel strong, it is not that if it is not, then I will fall. But if there is support then you admit that it is going to boost confidence.”
