‘It Will Damage Your Eardrums’: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra On ‘Masakali 2.0’

Mumbai: Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra expressed disappointment over the recreated version of ‘Masakali’ song from his film ‘Delhi-6.’

The new re-mix titled ‘Muskali 2.0’ featuring Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria has received critical acclaim not only from music lovers but also from the original producers.

The 56-year-old filmmaker wrote on Twitter and wrote: #Masakali #Delhi 6 was made with a loveful song and love that needs to be protected. Beware of re-mixing it will damage your eardrums. ”

Rakesh retweeted a note by AR Rahman, who expressed disapproval of the new version on Wednesday.

The legendary composer shared a note: “No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations.”
