Karena Kapoor Auditioned First Time In Career For Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha: He wanted To Be 100% Sure

Mumbai: Bollywood ‘Bebo’ Kareena Kapoor who was lastly seen in ‘Veere Di Wedding’ recently revealed she auditioned for the first time in her career for the upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.

Kareena said to Rajeev Masand, Aamir Khan wanted to be sure about it.

“Because knowing the way that he is, I think he wanted to be 100%sure. So very randomly Aamir called and said I want you to read the script this and that and I am very excited about it” I heard the script as I have never done something like this before, I thought what a hell is this. But saif was the only one who told me what’s wrong with you? Even an Al Pacino would test for the part. There is nothing wrong, we all have to be sure as actors and artists.

Kareena confessed that she had never auditioned for a film before, not even for a debut, Refugee.

The film Lal Singh Chadha is the remake of Hollywood hit Forest Gump and Karena and Aamir will star in the film.

Kareena will be portraying the character of Robin Wrights from the film while Aamir will play Tom Hanks the iconic character from the film.

Kapoor will next appear alongside Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in Good News, a comedy-drama about a couple trying to get pregnant. She has also committed to star in Angrezi Medium, a sequel to the 2017 film, by Homi Adajania, and will portray Mughal princess Jahanara Begum in Karan Johar’s directorial
