For higher secondary classes, 8th to Xth classes can begin from July 15 due to SSLC examination answer sheet evaluation from June 25 to July 7.

The proposal will only be finalized after consulting the stakeholders like parents and school management, said the circular by the education department.

All the government-aided schools have been asked to hold PTM meetings and School Development and Monitoring Committee members will air their opinions on the points to reopen the schools on the proposed date and inform the government through SATS before 15 June.

Social distancing norms are becoming a lifestyle in this pandemic. Since Mid-March all schools and colleges have been shut down in the country. Amidst the coronavirus situation, the opening of schools could be a risk for the lives of students, teachers as well as their families.
