‘KGF: Chapter 2’ Becomes Third-Highest Grossing Film In Hindi

Mumbai: ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ has become the third-highest-grossing film in Hindi with a collection of ₹343 crores. It has beaten the lifetime figures of Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ ( ₹339.16 crores), Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ (₹340.8 crores) and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ (₹342.53 crores).

The film stars Yash in the lead, along with Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. It has now become the third highest-grossing film in Hindi with a collection of ₹343 crores.

Sharing the KGF 2 collection on Twitter, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#KGF2 crosses #TigerZindaHai, #PK and #Sanju *lifetime biz*… Now, 3rd Highest Grossing *Hindi* film… [Week 2] Fri 11.56 cr, Sat 18.25 cr, Sun 22.68 cr, Mon 8.28 cr, Tue 7.48 cr, Wed 6.25 cr. The lifetime collection of the Hindi version of KGF Chapter 1 is just ₹ 44.09 crores. Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 stands for Kolar Gold Fields (in Karnataka) and tells the story of Rocky (Yash), an orphan who rises from poverty and becomes the king of a gold mining empire there.

The film, which had its first chapter released in 2018, has turned out to be the highest-grossing movie in the Kannada industry.
