Kiara Advani To Replace Tara Sutaria For Arjun Reddy Remake Opposite Shahid Kapoor

Pune : Making a remarkable year by another hit, Shahid is engaged in the promotions of his recent movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu. While there have been some paused projects of his involvements, one such is the remake of Arjun Reddy.

Movie was scheduled to release in August itself but director Sandeep Vanga wanted Shahid to grow his beard further to fit in with the role as stated by Shahid. There was further delay as earlier casted Tara Sutaria had to leave the movie in between and again search for female lead started. Recently, it’s heard that Kiara Advani had took up the role and will be playing opposite Shahid for the film.

Kiara had been up with Netflix TV series Lust Stories and gained quite popularity with time. Listening to the sources, Kiara is finally locked in place of Tara for the movie. Known reason for Tara’s exit is her contract with Karan Johar’s Student of The Year 2. She already had tied up for the movie which was earlier to be released in November, but since there’s a delay here too, Tara couldn’t debut with Arjun Reddy remake as per her contract with Dharma Productions which landed her walking out of the flick.

Arjun Reddy remake is a Telugu movie directed by Sandeep Vanga who’ll be directing the Hindi remake too. It’ll be produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde, original movie had Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey for main leads.
