Lucknow Police Sends Notice To Bollywood Singer Kanika Kapoor For Questioning

Mumbai: On Monday, a team of Lucknow police officers visited the home of Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor and issued a notice for inquiry regarding the FIR lodged for spreading negligence and life-threatening illness.

A team of police officers of Sarojini Nagar Police Station, where the FIR was lodged, visited his residence at Shalimar Gallant Apartment here and served notice.

She became involved in various social events despite being infected with the coronavirus.

Kapoor was booked under Sections 188 (disobedience of a lawful order by a public servant), 269 (negligence likely to spread life-threatening illness), and 270 (deadly work likely to spread life-threatening illness). Penal Code (IPC).

The FIR was based on the complaint filed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Lucknow.

According to the police, Kapoor came to Lucknow on March 11 and was found to be COVID-19 positive at the airport, after which he was asked by the authorities to quarantine himself for the period required by the rules.

However, she had ignored the instructions and moved on with her social engagements.
