Mumbai Customs Officials Seize Two Luxury Watches Worth Rs 5 Cr From Hardik Pandya At Airport

Mumbai: Mumbai’s customs department on Sunday seized two wristwatches worth Rs 5 crore at the airport on arrival from Dubai of cricketer Hardik Pandya, allegedly for non-receipt of bill receipts for the watches.

Mumbai Customs said, “The customs on Sunday night (14 November) seized two watches worth Rs 5 crore of cricketer Hardik Pandya while he was returning from Dubai. The cricketer did not have the bill receipt for the watches.”

Hardik Pandya was returning from Dubai in what could have been the United Arab Emirates after India registered their third win, as two losses in their opening two matches against Pakistan and New Zealand in the semi-finals propelled them into the last four.

It is worth noting that last year Hardik’s brother cricketer Kunal Pandya was also stopped at the Mumbai International Airport on suspicion of possessing unidentified gold and other valuables.
