Mumbai Police Question 40 People In Salman Khan Threat Case; 200 CCTV Footages Seized

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have questioned over 40 people and seized footage from nearly 200 CCTV cameras in connection with a threat letter sent to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, Times Now reported.

The gang of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has denied any involvement with the letter.

Lawrence Bishnoi had earlier threatened the actor to get involved in the blackbuck poaching case as blackbuck is sacred to the Bishnoi community.

The threatening letter was received by Salim Khan while resting on a bench at Bandra Bandstand resort, where he often sits after his usual morning run.

According to reports, the letter had the names of both Salman and his father Salim Khan and ‘Tumhara bhi moose wala kar denge’ with the letters LB and GB inscribed.

Officials are trying to ascertain whether the letter names the prime suspects in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar.

They are on the lookout for known gang members of both Brar and Bishnoi. Bishnoi has said that Brar is in Canada and he has no enmity with Salman Khan. He also suggested that the letter may have been a prank to trap him or gain publicity.

The CCTV camera installed in the area was not working which is the biggest challenge before the police. Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil has apprised the Maharashtra Home Minister of minute-by-minute updates on the matter.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan was seen leaving Mumbai at Kalina Airport yesterday morning. According to sources, he has gone to Hyderabad for the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Kabhi Eid, Kabhi Diwali’.
