Pak Terrorist Arrested In Delhi With AK-47, Hand Grenade, Pistols

During interrogation it was revealed that he was trained by Pakistan’s ISI and had several fake Id’s

New Delhi: The Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday arrested a Pakistani terrorist, identified as Mohd Asraf, from Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar. One AK-47 assault rifle with one extra magazine and 60 rounds and other weapons seized from his possession.

During the media briefing, the DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha said the arrested person has been in India for over a decade and worked as a sleeper cell.

“One Pakistani national Mohd Asraf was arrested by Delhi Police Special cell, yesterday. He has been in India for more than a decade using Indian identity. Initial probe revealed his involvement as sleeper cell, orchestrating subversive activities,” DCP Kushwaha.

The DCP also informed that he had several fake ids under various names and has travelled to many different nations.

“He got several fake ids made; one such was under the name of Ahmed Noori. He had acquired an Indian passport too, travelled to Thailand and Saudi Arabia. He married an Indian woman in Ghaziabad for documents; had acquired Indian id in Bihar,”

During interrogation, it was revealed that he was trained by Pakistan’s ISI and was involved in many terrorist strikes across India.

“He has been trained by Pakistan ISI, was sent through Siliguri border via Bangladesh…One Naseer from Pakistan had tasked him (to carry out terror operations). In the last, he was also disguising as ‘Peer Maulana’ in and around Delhi,” Kushwaha said.

The DCP added, “t’s coming to light that in past too he was involved in terror activities. Pak ISI handler with code name Nasir recruited him & was giving him instructions. We’ve averted a major terrorist strike.

Pakistani terrorist Mohd Asraf is now been brought to Patiala House Court.
