Petrol Price Hiked Again Across India, Breaches ₹110 Per Litre Mark In Bhopal

Fuel prices in India are driven by global crude oil prices as well as the Central & State Government

Mumbai: The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) increased petrol prices by Rs 0.25-0.30 per litre while Diesel was raised by Rs 0.28-32 for every litre.

In Mumbai, petrol now costs ₹107.71 per litre, while diesel costs ₹97.52.

As per Indian Oil Corporation, after the hike implemented Thursday morning, the price of fuels in the National Captial Delhi was petrol at Rs 101.64-per-litre and Diesel for Rs 89.97 per litre.

In Kolkata, petrol reached Rs 102.17 after Rs 0.30 hike on Thursday and Diesel was at Rs 92.97, up by Rs 0.30 paise.

In Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai, the petrol price was raised by Rs 0.21 at Rs 99.36 per litre while Diesel was raised by Rs 0.28 to Rs 94.45 per litre.

In the other cities like Bhopal, Guwahati, Lucknow, Hyderabad & Bengaluru the price of Petrol is at Rs 110.11, Rs 97.52, Rs 98.75, Rs 105.74 & Rs 105.18 per litre respectively.

Whereas the Price of Diesel in these cities has reached Rs 98.77, Rs 89.29, Rs 90.20, Rs 98.06, & Rs 95.38 per litre respectively.

Fuel prices in India are driven as both the Centre and states levy excise duty and taxes which are major sources of revenue from the government and by global crude oil prices.

Global crude oil prices remained under pressure during the week owing to surging cases of delta variant of Covid-19 and a strong US dollar.
