Radhika Madan Talks About Audition Process, Finds It Appropriate Way Of Work

Pune : Rahika Madan who auditioned to work in Pataakha talks about how auditions are the elegant and the most professional way to get work and parallely nurturing our own skills.

After working in TV serial Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, actress Radhika Madan is making her Bollywood debut with the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial Pataakha. As she herself had entered the movie through auditions, she finds auditioning to be the most balanced and professional way of work. Radhika had been working well since 2014 in her TV serial discussed.

While answering to IANS about any inferiority or awkwardness while auditioning, Radhika said “I think auditioning is the best process to bag a role for any actor. It gives us a chance to understand our capability as a performer, and directors to see if the essence of the character is really lying within the actor. So no, I did not feel anything awkward in that process.” Also, it had been difficult for her to adopt to the accent and dialect for the movie as it’s totally different from what she’s used to.

Being the female main lead for the flick, Madan shares “I remember how madly I was mugging up the lines… with a dialect at the Goa airport because I was in Goa when I got the call from the casting department to immediately come back to Mumbai. People thought that I had gone mad that’s why I was talking to myself. Only I knew what I was preparing for.”

Pataakha will also star Sunil Grover and Sanya Malhotra and will be entering screens on 28th September.
