Ritesh Deshmukh To Contest Worli Elections From Congress?

Mumbai: The famous Bollywood actor who has not only made us cackle through his comic roles but also made us feel brave enough through Marathi movies like Lai Bhaari might also be seen in politics. As per the sources Riteish Deshmukh is considered to contest Worli assembly elections this year from Congress.

According to the sources it seems like the actor is walking on his father’s footsteps. Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh who died due to his critical kidney condition in Chennai has been the chief minister of Maharashtra twice from congress’ side. Once in the year 1999 and the second time in 2004 but due to the Mumbai attacks in 2008, he considered his moral responsibility and hence resigned from the position.

Amit Deshmukh is also an MLA of Latur city. It would be another accomplishment for the Lai Bhaari actor if he stepped into the politics continuing his father’s legacy just like his brother. Vilasrao Deshmukh was constantly involved in politics. He loved carrying out activities for people and he was said to be involved in social causes since his youth. Vilasrao Deshmukh continued his passion till his last breath, he was still on the position of environment Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of earth sciences when he was battling for life in Chennai’s hospital.
