She Looked Rather Lovely: Chunky On Trolls Criticising Daughter Ananya’s Outfit
Mumbai: Actress Ananya Panday recently attended producer Apoorva Mehta’s 50th birthday party, wearing a black thigh-high slit sheer dress. Several users trolled her for the choice of her outfit.
Reacting to the trolls, her father, actor Chunky Panday said that Ananya looked “rather lovely”.
Speaking to Hindustan Times Chunky Panday said, “We, as parents, never told her what to wear and whatnot. We have brought up both our daughters very well and they are very understanding. Ananya is in show business today and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up.”

Emphasizing how he thinks his daughter looks ” rather lovely’,” he shares, “The one thing I know for sure about my girls is that they have a certain kind of innocence in them. I’m sure they can wear anything and carry them off without looking vulgar,” he told Hindustan Times.
“Getting laughed at for what you’re wearing is very common. We should take these things as a compliment. And if her dad doesn’t mind, then I don’t think anyone else should mind,” he added.
He says that the only way to deal with trolls is to laugh over their comments. “I tell Ananya, ‘At least people are discussing you, be it good or bad’. We make sure that we don’t bother about trolls. She has learnt to laugh at herself. One shouldn’t let these things get to their heart,” Chunky Panday concluded.

On the professional front, Ananya Panday will be next seen in Liger, which marks the Bollywood debut of Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh (known for Temper, iSmart Shankar, Desamuduru, Golimaar, Businessman, Iddarammayilatho, Heart Attack and others), is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Puri Jagannadh under the banner of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.
The actress has reunited with her Gehraiyaan costar Siddhant Chaturvedi for Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, which also features Gourav Adarsh of The White Tiger fame.
The film marks the directorial debut of Arjun Varain Singh. It is written by Zoya Akhtar, Arjun Singh, Reema Kagti and produced by Zoya, Kagti, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banners of Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment.
