Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad dominates at the Critics’ Choice Film Awards With Six Nominations

Mumbai: It’s a film that’s been supported by the film critics community from the day it hit the silver screens. In fact, Tumbbad ran in theatres for over 50 days because the audience loved the film so much. Only befitting then for Actor-Producer, Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad to score big at the nominations for the first ever Critics’ Choice Film Awards.

A small budget period horror film, Tumbbad set the cash registers ringing despite stiff competition at the box office and is now consistently making its presence felt at all the top film awards shows in the country!

Being hailed as a technical masterpiece, Tumbbad scored eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and won three awards for Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and Best Sound Design. The film also won the Best Production Design at the Zee Cine Awards along with Best Cinematography and Best Child Artist at the 25th Screen Awards.

And now Tumbbad is making a dent at the Critics’ Choice Film Awards as well. The film has bagged as many as six nominations at the Critics’ Choice Film Awards. The visually dazzling fantasy horror film earned mentions in the ‘Best Film (Hindi)’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Best Cinematography’, ‘Best Editing’, ‘Best Background Score’, and ‘Best Production Design’, categories at Critics’ Choice Film Awards.
