“There Are Lot Of People Who Are famous Today But There Are Very Few Stars”, Kajol On Stardom

Pune : Many actors and actresses touch celebrity steps comparatively faster nowadays. Reasons could be many including reach of media. Recently, Kajol was spotted talking about stardom in industry as she continues to share a lot of her life in Bollywood movies.

Fame and works are easily available but according to Kajol, being a star holds a different image and listening to her interview to PTI, she said, “The words star and fame cannot be put together. There are lot of people who are famous today but there are a very few stars. So, it is not synonymous anymore today which used to be there earlier”.

Adding to this with her personal experiences, Kajol further stated, “I did not have a great start. My first film did not do well. I have never considered it (acting) as a career, it happened to me and I just went with the flow. I was always on my toes (while choosing a film) and have been choosy always. I had a great time working on all the films, I met some amazing people. I still think of my work as a play time and rather my work is at home”

Married to actor Ajay Devgan, Kajol had worked in bollywood since 1992 with renowned actors like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, etc. She had also worked for tamil telugu cinema with Dhanush, however after a long break, she made a return in Dilwale alongside SRK, Varun Dhavan and Kriti Sanon and then went on to feature in Helicopter Eela.

Talking about her later life, Kajol mentioned, “I believe I am relevant today. I believe my personality has a lot to do with it. My personality has grown on screen and off screen with age. I am way smarter, cooler than what I was at the age 16. I am more beautiful. I think I am bound to be relevant in a lot of ways.”

For future, she has one period drama project in her kitty opposite husband Ajay as both are working for Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior for which further updates will be released soon.
