They See You’re A Model & Approach You: Actress Donal On Casting Couch
Mumbai: Television actress Donal Bisht, who is known for her role in the show ‘Ek Deewaana Tha’, said that during her modelling days, she faced a casting couch situation.
In her exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Donal revealed that she was asked to “compromise” by a South filmmaker when she was in Delhi

She said, “I experienced it when I was in Delhi and not in the (TV) industry. I hadn’t even started working. I was doing modelling. At that time, I was shattered…if they see that you are a model, people approach you. But it’s up to you, where you want to go. There are 100 kinds of people. Be smart because nothing comes with a silver spoon. You have to work hard.”
She also revealed how she made sure she gets a good project and doesn’t fall prey to any wrong decisions.
“I had a thirst for work and creativity… There are A, B grade films and there are some people who are making films worth Rs 50 lakh, Rs 2 lakh or Rs 100 crore. You have to check their background on the Internet. This way you can land a good project. Avoid weird and fishy people. Here, in the industry, hard work pays off, and there are true people… be positive and stay with the right people,” she told to Times Now.

Bisht started her acting career in 2015 by appearing in Star Plus’s Airlines as a journalist. In the same year, she played Dr Shelly in the anthology series Twist Wala Love. She got her first break as Sakshi in Life OK’s Kalash-Ek Vishwaas.
From 2018 to 2019, Bisht played Ishika Patel in Colors TV’s Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop opposite Shashank Vyas. In 2019, she replaced Jasmin Bhasin portrayed Happy Mehra in Star Plus’s Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji
